Recap of last night’s meeting!
What a great night it was to be scootering. We have 14 scooters turn out for the meeting!
We went for a ride with 10 of the scooters, to the north end of downtown for the view. If Henry Turley were to go into that neighborhood there would surely be mansions on that bluff!
Welcome new members Richard Williams and Glenn Phillips!
This week is especially exciting as we have two rides planned, the haunted ride on Thursday night, leaving from Metro Moto at 6:30 sharp, and the overnight ride to Crowley's Ridge, with a stop enroute to the scooter shop in Jonesboro…
Those from downtown will meet up at Calhoun’s on Thursday night at 5:30 for the ride to Metro Moto.
For the Saturday ride, we will be meeting up at the coffee shop across from Cordelia’s on Mud Island at 10:00 AM sharp! For Crowley's Ridge ride, we will be pseudo-camping in cabins in Crowley's Ridge State Park. There is plenty of room in the two cabins already booked and there is tent or RV camping available as well. Jay Blundon (jayblundon@comcast.net) and James Ledbetter (tnpicker@gmail.com) are coordinating this ride and activities including food and beer! Please let either of them know as soon as possible if you plan to attend so food and beer can be purchased.
Crowley's Ridge State Park (http://www.arkansasstateparks.com/crowleysridge/) is located 15 miles north of Jonesboro on Ark. 141; or nine miles west of Paragould on U.S. 412, then two miles south on Ark. 168.
Also discussed was the holiday parade, scheduled for December 5 at 5:00 PM. This parade will start at Central Station and go to the Orpheum. Further communication including meet up time and place will be forthcoming!
We also discussed the club Christmas party!
Lastly, the new officers were appointed for 2010 – Bob Vichie as president, James Ledbetter as vice-president, and Ian Jones continuing as treasurer.
